In this episode, Thomas looks at a rare bird: a silenced keyboard from the early 80s. This big boy–the Epson Q703A, which Fujitsu made for Epson–includes an uncommon version of their highly scrumptious linear leaf spring switches. That, and its massive, dark-chocolate-themed spherical keycaps, make this a very alluring specimen.
This review is somewhat unique because although the Epson Q703A is a vintage keyboard, it’s new old stock, which means it’s never been used, abused, or aged like so many vintage keyboards are by the time they reach his desk.
