What’s Clacking: New Cooler Master RGB keyboards, Winkeyless offering aluminum top plates, and more!

  • Cooler Master has announced the Masterkeys Pro S and Pro L. These new RGB keyboards will feature 16.4 million colors, on the fly macros, and a minimalistic design, which I love, as most RGB keyboards tend to have all the crazy gaming cases with odd angles or ridiculous bottom rows that won’t fit any aftermarket keycap sets. It looks like the Shine 5 will have some competition.
  • The much anticipated RGB POK3R is available for pre-order at MechanicalKeyboards.com for $139 and is expected to be in stock on 4/28.
  • Korean Custom maker Winkeyless is now offering aluminum top plate with the RGB Acrylic Diffuser. Previously only acrylic plates were offered, so this is fantastic news for people looking to build a custom with a little more heft to it.
  • Granite R4 is live on Massdrop and has already sold more than 2,ooo individual sets in its first day of being posted, ramping this up to be one of the biggest cap group buys ever. While granite not may look as unique as a lot of the custom sets, it is popular because it is such a modular and customizable set. The DSA profile is uniform, making it is easy to swap keys around to different rows without any issues, and with the child kits, pretty much any keyboard in existence is able to be fitted with a Granite set. This is supposedly the last run of Granite, so be sure to get on this while you can!
