What’s Clacking: Vortex tease POK3R RGB, vote on Snackeys colors, and more!

  • In Vortex’s usual nonchalant way of revealing new products, they have posted a video that appears to be the RGB poker in action. So far nothing in the comments to tell when the keyboard is available, but it has been speculated that it would hit around the new year for quite some time now. The POK3R has become an industry standard 60% keyboard, and is hugely popular within the enthusiast community due to the wide availability of aftermarket parts, as well as a higher quality case/keycaps out of the box than most of the competition.
  • KeyKollectiv is about to ramp up the Snackeys Series 1 sale, but before they do they have released a poll allowing people to vote on what they would like to see out of the sale! You can see my pictures of the keys in a previous album, and I will say they are some of the absolute finest caps I own! There is a form you can fill out to cast your votes. I hear a few lucky people that fill the form out will also be getting a free cap from the sale, so there is no reason not to fill it out! Read more about the contest on Reddit! KeyKollectiv’s sales thread on GeekHack will be the where the sale is run from.
  • The Monarch, a custom Alps board featured in previous posts, has hit the group buy stage! This is indeed a very exciting time for Alps as the Alpine Winter keycap buy has also recently tipped! The Monarch uses a custom cut aluminum plate, AEK II keycaps and stabs, and is a 60% layout with the addition of a numpad on the left side of the keyboard making it one of the most unique customs I’ve seen in a very long time. I highly recommend checking the group buy page out!
