What’s Clacking: Split design Poker IV?, 1UpKeyboard sleeves on Massdrop, and more!

  • Vortex teased a “Poker IV?” on their Facebook page. This 60% had a much more angular case than the POK3R, MX switches, and was a split design. The split design, much like a Matias Ergo Pro, allows the keyboard to be moved in to halves, allowing for better ergonomic placement. This is a curious move indeed by Vortex, who still have a lot of interest from the community in getting a POK3R with backlighting, specifically RGB. Hopefully Vortex are still hard at work on the POK3R, but adding on keyboards to the lineup definitely isn’t a bad thing!
  • Deck Keyboards posted an album of custom laser engraved keycaps on an imgur album. Keycaps included a Pip Boy, Grateful Dead, and Boba Fett keycaps. Unfortunately they did say they would not be selling trademarked caps. On the bright side they also said they were working on making a new font for their keyboards, which currently is in desperate need of an overhaul.
  • 1UpKeyboards have made their debut on Massdrop! There is a very wide variety of sizes available, with the only sleeve color being black. For $27 the price is absolutely right, and I would highly recommend checking the drop out. I have a few of their cases I’ve been using and absolutely love the attention to detail and quality of them.
